Keeping this a secret was tough but we are excited to announce the launch of the integra.boot Tenaci. Available now, the Tenaci was created with a whole host of special features to ensure your safety and comfort at work.
We created the Tenaci when we noticed that those in the Food and Drink manufacturing industry were coming to us to solve their problems. We noticed that some of the common problems seen with Safety Wellingtons in the Food and Drink Manufacturing industry included slips, comfort and inadequate sole units that got clogged easily. So we thought why not give these people a safety wellington that solves all these problems while giving them the highest levels of comforts and safety possible? And it's exactly what we’ve done.
So we started our creation of the Tenaci. We wanted the Tenaci to be lightweight, stable and highly slip resistant which in turn improves employee satisfaction. Using third generation PU technology, the Tenaci boasts an inbuilt stability system, guaranteeing stability while wearing it.
Having to constantly change your safety wellingtons because they’re not high quality is not only costly, but time consuming. We know that having to replace your boots is not ideal, which is why the Tenaci was created to last longer than other safety wellingtons on the market. I mean, it’s the pretty obvious choice for safety wellingtons in the Food Industry isn’t it?
We worked tirelessly to make sure that the Tenaci was comfortable and you wouldn’t end up with sore feet after a long day’s work. The Tenaci is undeniably comfortable, with cushioned removable insoles. But don’t just take our word for it….
- “The Tenaci sole is still in the same condition even after using the wellingtons for two months. The integra.boot wellingtons are more comfortable than previous ones used. They are also lighter, have more slip resistance and are easier to clean.”
Tony Swann, Safety Health and Environment Manager, Welcome Foods
Now for the big guns, and two of the most impressive features of the Tenaci. The Slip Co-efficient and the Sole Unit. Slips, trips and falls contribute to over a third of all major accidents in the work place. The Tenaci has one of the highest rating slip resistant soles of any product on the market. See, I told you we were solving problems. With SRC ratings of 0.50 on the heel and 0.63 on the flat on a ceramic surface with soap, and ratings of 0.17 on the heel and 0.18 on the flat on a steel surface with glycerol. But what do these ratings actually mean? They mean that the Tenaci is highly slip resistant across numerous surfaces. If you’re unsure, read about SRC here.
The next wow factor of the Tenaci, the sole unit. If you look, the Tenaci has an open tread pattern. But what does this mean? The sole is wide and open, which is perfect for the food industry because food doesn’t get clogged in it. I mean you could even say that the unique sole is vital for the food production industry. We told you earlier that the Tenaci was created to be lightweight. Our sole unit was specially crafted with polyurethane, not your typical rubber, to give the boot a lighter feel. For an added extra, the Tenaci boasts a shock absorber heel, contributing to your comfort and safety.
On top of all of this, the Tenaci has an average wall thickness of 5mm and the Tenaci’s cold insulation certification is down to -30 degrees Celsius. That means if you’re in the cold section of the factory or freezers, you can be comfortable knowing that your feet will stay warm. Gone is the need for specialist thermal wellingtons, the Tenaci has it all.
Oh, and want to know where the Tenaci got its name? It's Latin for grip.
So there you have it, our brand new product. If you need a little bit more convincing, look at what Karol Wojick at Scotbeef had to say, but we don’t think you will need any.
